Facilitation Teams accompany communities on their way to AIDS Competence

Members help each other:
  • to appreciate local strengths
  • to stimulate dialogue and local action
  • link communities with available local resources
  • to be transformed individually by learning from local responses
  • to stimulate knowledge creation and sharing
  • to transfer and to embed lessons learned in their own context
  • to participate in local, national and international knowledge sharing
Ways of working
  • Participation is personal and voluntary
  • Work through invitations (do not select)
  • Any community/organisation can invite a team
  • Teams are made up of peers. There are no hierarchical relations.
  • A host organisation provides logistical support.
