Asian Red Cross/ Red Crescent Regional HIV/AIDS network (ART) is interested in the AIDS Competence Process A Constellation team -Claire Campbell (a coach from Australia) together with Red Cross participants from the ADB-NGO Competence process from Cambodia and Indonesia- facilitated a one-day workshop at a meeting of the ART network. The AKDN-Mali Knowledge Fair took place in Bamako on 6 and 7 February 2008. The workshop was a continuation of the AIDS Competence Process that EMBALMALI, EDM-SA and CAM have been following during the last 2 years with the support of the Constellation for AIDS Competence. In addition to representatives from the 3 companies guests were invited from a wide variety of other organisations. The Constellation provided 3 facilitatorand there were 28 participants at the workshop.
32 facilitators met in Butembo (DR-Congo) for the second workshop organised by the Constellation and HealthNetTPO, to learn how to use the self-assessment for AIDS Competence. "Now the communities assess their own aids competence and decide what they want to know about aids," explains Nzotsi Paluku, working for HNTPO.
"During a SALT visit a group of transgender taught me how to respect friendship and family and these are values which I have forgotten in my family life".
The Constellation and the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine will launch a blended learning programme, thanks to the support of the Norwegian government. This course combines online modules and practical field exercises. On February 14-15, both organisations met in Brussels to launch the course
