Communities in Brussels discuss life issues with BelCompetence Communities in Brussels -Muslim women, teenagers with a physical disability, Chaldean and Armenian boys, students- all shared their dreams and concerns with the Belgian facilitation team. A 20-year old disabled person shared that "We should see our disability as a strength instead of a weakness". This is just one of many examples that show the real strengths of communities we visited. |

If the Constellation were a person, it would be a mid-wife A Constellation team organised a peer assist on "How to develop a voice that is being heard". A panel composed of a journalist, a consultant at the UN, a strategic marketing consultant and members of BelCompetence shared their experience. Employees of EmbalMali donate their blood Peer educators of EmbalMali organised a day of blood donation with the National Center for Blood Transfusion in Mali. Peer educators, who have been trained by the Constellation, showed through this initiative that local responses have progressed in this factory producing plastic bags. |

The Constellation assesses its own competences A Constellation team developed a self-assessment framework that measures the progress of the Constellation. We chose three priority areas - improve the quality of our operations, develop a voice that is being heard and develop a growing number of qualified coaches- to focus on in 2008. Peace and SALT spirit in the Kenyan GLIA team As chaos persists in Kenya since the beginning of January, the GLIA wide learning event planned in Kenya in February will be hosted in Uganda. The Kenyan GLIA team, with members from different tribes, want to use the AIDS Competence approach to help communities to reconcile. |
