New Constellation office in Chiang Mai The Constellation's office in Chiang Mai (Thailand) moved to the Chiang Mai University International Centre, located 500 m from our previous office. Gaston and Laurence, the Transfer facilitator and Share facilitator, have now moved to Chiang Mai to work face to face with Lawan, the Executive Assistant.

New partnership with Handicap International (HI) and Sidaction to work on disability and aids in Burundi, Mali and Senegal From 2008 to 2010, HI, Sidaction and the Constellation will stimulate local responses towards AIDS with handicapped people in Burundi, Mali and Senegal. Trial version of first module of the Blended Learning Programme is ready The Constellation and the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine are developing a Blended Learning Programme on facilitation of the AIDS Competence Process. We now have a 'platform' on which to build the programme and a trial version for one module. |

BelCompetence grows On 29 February and 1 March, facilitators of BelCompetence organized their first learning event, introducing the AIDS Competence Process to a group of eleven participants. The next step is to practice SALT visits together in Belgian communities. BelCompetence grows as we have now 20 (potential) facilitators spreading AIDS Competence in Belgium. Next learning event will take place beginning of June, with a facilitator of RDCCompetence. |

Visit me at home Members of the Constellation want to create an online social network that would bring together people, organisations and communities who share the same beliefs in people's capacity to respond. Visitors would be able to visit a Constellation member 'at home' -on his/her blog- and to participate in the online discussion on the forum on topics like "How can we stimulate inclusion of people living with HIV?" or other issues related to AIDS or the AIDS Competence Process. |

News to come AUSAID invited the Constellation to a planning meeting for an Intervention Study in Papua New Guinea. The study will analyse if the stimulation of local community conversation is critical to measurable progress on HIV/AIDS. Constellation coaches visit facilitation teams of the ADB-NGO Competence Process in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Thailand Learning event on "measuring change" will take place with all participants of the Great Lakes Initiative on AIDS in Kinshasa |

The Constellation for AIDS Competence
On 14 March, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance invited the Constellation to present the AIDS Competence Process to staff members in Brighton. They explored possibilities to work together to stimulate local responses and sharing of experiences within the Alliance "family".
These are the words of a truck driver involved in the AIDS Competence Process in Burundi. "We learn from their solidarity and their determination to fight stigma and poverty." The process allowed the truckers and PLWH to identify their strengths and vulnerabilities and to act together.
2 and 3 May, BelCompétence will show the movie « Papy » during Africa Day, in Brussels, at the Espace Matongé (18-20h), followed by a debate. Facilitators will also show the documentary "l'Approche", to introduce the AIDS Competence Process in Belgium.
