During the launching meeting, representatives of the networks of People living with HIV/AIDS and long distance truck drivers, GLIA representatives and coaches of the Constellation agreed on an implementation plan for the next two years.
What we learned from the two day meeting:
- We learn from people who have a rich HIV experience and who are willing to transfer to others what they know.
- We learn from Rwanda: The policy of the Rwandese government on the development of cooperatives is a real strength in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
- We learn from Kenya: The voluntary accompaniment of the Kenyan truck drivers with educational material and tools can be extended to other countries of the area.
- We learn from DR-Congo: The going-to-scale of the AIDS Competence process in a wide country as the DRC offers lessons that are useful to spread AIDS Competence in a large area as the Great Lakes.
- .And Material and financial resources available in the fight against AIDS and other problems of health
