Cambodia

In Cambodia, 9 NGO's will participate in the AIDS Competence process, with a total of 18 participants. There is a good mix of males and females, as well as several participants who are not from within Cambodia.

India

In India, 15 NGO's will participate in the AIDS Competence process. The total number of participants would near 30. The Kick Off event could happen either in Bangalore or in Mumbai.

Indonesia

In Indonesia, 8 NGO's will participate in the AIDS Competence process, with 15 participants. There are NGOs working with specific groups like transgender, IDUs, PLHA and young people. A couple of NGOs target a wide range of populations including migrant workers, MSM, sex workers, women, elderly, and communities.

Philippines

In the Philippines, 12 NGO's will participate in the AIDS Competence Process, with 22 participants. The majority of the applicants are based in Manila and neighbourhood cities, but there are some based in other regions of the country too.. The applicants include local, national, and international NGOs, and also include faith-based organizations and people living with HIV/AIDS organizations.

Papua New Guinea

The participating NGO's will be announced on the 30th of June.

Thailand

In Thailand, 19 NGO's will participate in the AIDS Competence process, with a total number of 28 participants. Participating NGO's include a good range of organizations from regional and international NGO to national and local ones, and included large NGOs as well as CSOs such as youth group, men who have sex with men peer support group, people living with HIV/AIDS peer support network, as well as faith-based organizations.

Kick-off events

Kick-off events will take place in July, August and September in the 6 countries.

Three coaches of the Constellation will launch the process in each country with the local participants by giving them an introduction to the concepts of the AIDS Competence Process and conducting SALT visits in interested communities.
