11-22 August, Burundi

From 11 - 22 August, Constellation coaches organised a learning event with facilitators of Health Net TPO and the Health Comitee of Kibuye, in central Burundi. Participants conducted six community visits in the district of Kibuye.

Key players in South Africa are ready to go
26 August, Johannesburg

Constellation coaches met with 8 significant players in the AIDS landscape in South Africa. “All of them gave a ‘yes’, and are ready to go”, confirmed Ricardo Walters, Constellation coach from South Africa. Non Governmental Organisations, Faith Based Organisations, Universities, representatives of the private sector and the South African Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS attended the meeting.

Participants decided to organise a core team, and are making commitments to developing a business plan, work-plan, and dates for SALT visits. Four participants offered their communities as learning sites.

“The best solution to the challenge of reducing HIV rates is most likely to emerge through meaningful dialogue with communities and assisting them to translate that into actions,” said Chris Burman, Senior Lecturer at the University of Limpopo who attended the meeting.

Prabakar works as Joint Director of South India AIDS Action Programme and is one of the participants of the ADB-NGO Competence Process.
