ACP stars start shining in New Delhi
11 July, New Delhi

Thirty participants - from NGO, UN agencies and the medical sector- attended a one day workshop on the AIDS Competence Process (ACP) in New Delhi (India). Participants appreciated doing their self-assessment of prevention in India. "The self-assessment created the picture of where we want to be in the next several years, and over the long term," shared another participant. "If there is commitment, even an ant has power enough to push the elephant of a virus out," said a participant.

"Potential of ACP is like an untapped 'Hydro-Power Source'!"

"Once tapped, it will release a powerful electric force of local responses connecting our villages. My dream is to make ACP a wide spread NGO practice among my N-NagaDAO (Net work of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organizations) colleagues and even a state level response," explained Joe Ngamkhuchung in an interview for the Constellation. Joe heads a NGO called NEDHIV, Dimapur, Nagaland in North-Eastern part of India.
