NST and the Constellation in Norway

NST and the Constellation have entered into a partnership with regards to development and research in ICT for AIDS Competence.

In order to expand the AIDS Competence approach, maintain the quality of the approach, and increase and improve the sharing of the results, the Constellation and the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine have designed a blended learning program combining local training with a wide range of online tools for learning, communicating, and collaborating.

In connection with the 46664 Arctic Concert in Tromsų in June 2005, an international workshop on eHealth support for HIV/AIDS was organized in order to explore how eHealth can improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS. The proposed project is a further development of one of the proposed actions from the workshop.

The expected outcome is a drastically increased capability to train coaches, making the Constellation able to reach out to many more communities whose competence vis-ą-vis AIDS will increase. It will also enable the Constellation to share the results more efficiently. The project period will last for two years, where six online learning modules will be created. Around 100 coaches will participate in the program.
